Amara loves her family, so much, and her home in Oregon. But she is curious why she knows so little about her Dad’s family in Harlem, New York. Specifically, why her Dad and her Grandpa Earl don’t seem to get along. In Some Places More than Others by Renee Watson, Amara’s struggle to make connections and learn about her own family history offers a heartwarming look into family bonds near and far.

Note: The Winter session of Inktastic meets at 4 pm on December 4, January 8, and February 5. All registered members will receive a personal copy of each month’s book. If your family registers more than one child for this book club, you will receive just one copy of the book. This will make the program available to more children.
