We have all seen the "docs" on the television series Gunsmoke and Deadwood ply their trade. They fix gunshot wounds, broken bones, arrow wounds and deliver babies. How accurate are those portrayals of a Nineteenth Century frontier physician? Here is your opportunity to find out! "Git the Doc" is a program that brings to life the actual medical practices of the Old West with no Hollywood involved. Learn how doctors of old Prescott handled numerous medical problems and how the science advanced through the years. If nothing else, you will leave this session knowing that the phrase, "The good old days," does definitely not apply to medicine!

Presenter is Ron Anderson, a 30 year veteran of the professional medical industry and a published medical historian. Ron's career included experience in the clinical laboratory and pharmaceutical industries as well as many years as an emergency Wilderness Medic. Ron contributed the popular Prescott Courier series entitled "Git the Doc." Ron is a long time Prescott Resident and is a Commercial Broker with Coldwell Banker Northland.
